Made of polylactic acid (PLA), which is made from corn starch;
Translucent design for eye-catching visibility of beverage as it passes through;
Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) certified as compostable;
Designed for drinks less than 110 degrees Farenheit. Not designed to drink or mix hot beverages.
Transportation
Cannot be exposed to the sunlight or rain;cannot be mixed with harmful and corrosive materials.The temperature of the environment during transportation should not exceed 40 degrees.
Storage
Stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse away from the ground and fire source.Avoid direct sunlight and not to be stacked in the open air. The temperature of the environment should not exceed 40degrees.The sugestion of best storage condition is humidity in the air is less then75%, temperature of environment is between 18℃ to 30℃.
The principle of products degradation
The pathways of product degradation:
Simple hydrolytic degradation:Polylactic acid molecular chains contain ester bonds,which are easily broken into carboxylic acids and alcohols under the action of hydrogen ions.The acid produced in degradation may act as a catalyst in the degradation and lead to an autocatalytic effect.
Composting degradation:The decomposition rate is faster under high temperature and high humidity(50-55 degrees,humidity is higher than 80-90%)
Degradation in nature:Polylactic Acid can be degraded by various microorganisms and enzymes in nature.
