L-Arabinose, also known as pectinose or pectin sugar, which is a kind of aldopentose. L-Arabinose rarely exists in nature in the form of monosaccharide, usually combining with other monosaccharides, existing in pectin, hemicellulose, pectin acid, polysaccharide of bacteria and some glycosides in the form of heteropolysaccharide.It’s easily soluble in water and glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol and not soluable in aether. It is highly stable under the condition of heat and acid.
