Description

Double Groove Grind Gauge/Hegman Grindometer Scraper

Stainless steel grind gauge

Note: many types of solid materials must be ground into finer particles to disperse in fluid equipment. The physical properties of the final dispersion are often called fineness.It depends not only on the actual size of individual particles, but also on how dispersed they are.The use of fineness plates can indicate the presence of undesired coarse or aggregated particles in dispersion.It does not measure particle size or particle size distribution in paint.

Grind gauge is strictly according to GB/T 1724, GB/T6753.1, ISO1524 standard production, is used to measure coating, paint, printing ink and other liquid and paste pigment particle size and dispersion degree and impurities, is separately to control products in the quality of the production, storage and application, such as paint, plastic, paint, printing ink, paper, ceramics, pharmaceutical, food and other fields, etc.

A fineness plate is a flat steel block with grooves on the surface, the depth of which varies from maximum at one end to zero at the other.One or more grooves are marked on the steel block to read out the size of the particles.

The degree of dispersion is expressed by micron or "Hegman", and the "Hegman" value gradually changes from 0-8 as the particle size decreases.

0 Hegman = 100 micron particle size;

4 Hegman = 50 micron particle size;

8 Hegman = 0 micron particle size

Steps: pour a little more sample into the deeper end of the groove, and scrape the sample towards the shallow end of the groove with the straight edge of the provided scraper. The test point is where many coarse particles are seen on the surface of the fineness plate.

Main technical parameters:

Material: stainless steel (standard blade)

  flatness of the upper and lower plane of the scraper is less than 3 microns
