Material Specification | Typical Material composition is 5~8% Cobalt (Co) 92~95% Tungsten Carbide (WC) But other compositions are available with cobalt content up to 15% . Hardness reduces and toughness increases with increasing cobalt content. |

Tolerance | Sintered as blank, polished or grinding to ABMA grade tolerance, G5, G10, G16, G100 etc. Also grinding to special request. |
Grade | A variety of grades that provide exceptional wear and impact resistance grades for your job. K10/K20/K30 etc. |
Application | Valves, Pumps, Ball Screws, Measurement Standards, Gauging, Wear Parts. Balls from this material are also used for ballizing and ball pens. The tungsten carbide balls are used by the writing instrument industry in oil-based, water-based, gel-ink ball point pens and rolling ball pens. |

Tungsten carbide balls can also be brazed onto a stem or shank to be used for valves and calibration.
The balls are made from hard-wearing tungsten carbide and are available in different diameters like 12, 19, 25 and 30mm etc.

Grade Information for carbide ball
Tungsten Carbide balls are manufactured in two standard material grades of C-1 and C-2.
C-1, with better shock resistance than C-2, this grade is typically used as a mining grade where toughness and abrasion resistance are also important. It has also proven useful in bearing applications.
C-2 affords higher wear resistance and toughness which make this grade an excellent general purpose grade for use in pumps and valves.
Our tungsten carbide ball supplied in fully sintered with a band around the diameter of one axis and ground or polished conditions.
