Product description
GD2673 AC/DC Hipot Tester is dielectric strength test instrument for measuring safety parameters of electrical equipment. They are applied in withstand voltage test for household appliances, electronic instrument, electronic components, electric wires and cables. The output power of transformers in this series is no less than 750VA. Products of this series meet the requirements of electronic products as well as other standards such as IEC, JIS and CSA.

Warning before Operation
1)The ground terminal of the instrument (on the back panel) must be reliably grounded. Ground wire should be strand wire with diameter not less than 0.75. It is prohibited to ground earth wire via conductors with poor grounding performance like water pipe. There is no need to attach a ground wire when making sure that the ground wire in 3-phase power line performs well (if there is no high-current 3-phase equipment in your grid, and users have handled it well).
2)In case of accidents, operators shall stand on the suitable insulation mat with suitable insulation gloves.
3)Test object should be placed on suitable insulation mat.
4)The voltage control knob must be rotated to the end counterclockwise before switching on the power switch.
5)When not using the instrument, turn the voltage control knob counterclockwise to the initial position and turn off the power to prevent non-professional operators from operating the instrument.
6)To change the test voltage range or AC/DC switch, the voltage control knob must be turned to the initial position counterclockwise while the instrument recovers.
7)Never allow the instrument to touch the test object, measuring line or each HV output hole until it is out of test state or fully released at the end of high voltage.
8)The following conditions must be met when touching test object, test head and HV output end:
a.HV indicator (start indicator) is off.
b.Digital display voltmeter indicates zero.
c.HV output end and COM (measured end) short-circuit and discharge. The instrument should be given sufficient discharge time especially when in DC mode or in capacitive equipment tests.
9)If accidents occur, please cut off power and unplug power cord at once.
10)When indicators do not function well, the instrument shall be repaired at once.
