Brown fused alumina is made by smelting bauxite and coke (anthracite) at high temperature in electric arc furnace. Grinding tools made of brown fused alumina are suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as various general steel, malleable cast iron, hard bronze, etc., and it can also make high-grade refractory materials. Brown fused alumina has the characteristics of high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low linear expansion coefficient and corrosion resistance.Brown fused alumina is the best aggregate and filler for refractories.

 

 

Brown fused alumina, commonly known as emery , is a brown artificial corundum produced by melting and reducing bauxite, carbon materials and scrap iron in an electric arc furnace.The main chemical component of brown fused alumina is al2o3, with its content ranging from 95.00% to 97.00%, and a small amount of fe, si, ti and so on.
