Accozymes^TM Alkaline protease is a kind of proteolytic enzyme, which is obtained from Bacillus subtilis by Protoplast Mutagenesis through deep fermentation, extraction and refining. Widely used in leather, silk, food, brewing and other industries.

Working Mechanism

The active component of alkaline protease belongs to a serine endo-alkaline protease.It hydrolyzes protein molecular peptide chains to produce polypeptides or amino acids.In organic solvents, polypeptide synthesis can also be catalyzed.

Definition of Activity: I unit of enzyme activity is defined as 1 gram solid enzyme (or 1mL liquid enzyme) hydrolyzes casein to 1 μg tyrosine at 40^oC and Ph 10.5 in 1 minuet.

Working Temperature: 20^oC-60^oC (Effective), 35^oC-45^oC (Optimum).

Working pH: 6.0-11.0 (Effective), 9.5-10.5 (Optimum).

Ca²⁺, Mn²⁺, Mg²⁺, Zn²⁺and Fe²⁺ have increasing effect on Alkaline Protease.
