Botanical Name: It is botanically referred to as Cinnamomum zeylanicum. 

Origin: Historically, this oil is native to Indonesia, however Sri Lanka and India are also believed to the lands of its origin. 

Form: It is anything from medium viscosity to watery fluid. 

Scent: It carries a warm, spicy, clove-like whiff in it. 

Shade and Appearance: Depending on the extraction variables and environment, it displays either of the Yellow or Brown shades. 

Chemical constituents: Its chief chemical constituents of the essential oil, obtained from the bark, are Eugenol, Eugenol-Acetate, Cinnamic-Aldehyde and Benzyl-Benzoate. 

Extraction method: This oil is extracted via steam-distillation of the leaves of Cinnamomum zeylanicum tree. 

Gels well with: The Cinnamon leaf oil loves to party with Benzoin and Bergamot, Cardamom, Clove, Frankincense, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin, Marjoram, Nutmeg, Orange, Peppermint, Peru Balsam, Petitgrain, Rose, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang oils. 

What’s so special in it?: The Cinnamon leaf oil is armored with antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and anti-spasmodic properties besides being a rich analgesic, carminative, stimulant, stomachic and insecticidal. 

Therapeutic: Since olden times, it is vastly used for effective foot massages and to relieve rheumatic pains. Cinnamon leaf oil is well known for its usage against infection of the respiratory tract, arthritis and general pains. It calms an exhausted feeling of depression, tones the whole body and stimulates the glandular system, thereby moderating menstrual pains. 

Medicinal: This oil is extensively used to heal upset stomach and related disorders, diarrhea, rheumatism, kidney ailments and abdominal pain. 

Cosmetic: It is readily used in preparing creams and lotions meant for treating chills, colds and flu. 

Just Like that: The rust-colored Cinnamon is known to grow up to about Forty Five feet, however, its growth is scientifically modified to be kept down to Six feet for commercial reasons! Since ancient times, Cinnamon has been described as a highly prized commodity and as one of the most recognizable scents in the world.
