Delfluoridation HPF5200
Defluoridation is the downward adjustment of the level of fluoride in drinking water. Worldwide, fluoride is one of the most abundant anions present in groundwater. Fluoride is more present in groundwater than surface water mainly due to the leaching of minerals. Groundwater accounts for 98 percent of the earth's potable water. An excess of fluoride in drinking water causes dental fluorosis and skeletal fluorosis. The World Health Organization has recommended a guideline value of 1.5 mg/L as the concentration above which dental fluorosis is likely. Fluorosis is endemic in more than 20 developed and developing nations.
High Selectivity Defluoridation HPF5200 is a hybrid porous polymer with rare earth and nano material. Under the affection of Donna membrane, fluoride ion can be pre-enriched by the surface functional group and removed by the nano material. So HPF5200 has the preperties of high selectivity and precision to fluoride ions.
Abundant nano pores, excellent hydraulic diffusivity contribute high adsorption rate and high activity.
High affinities between polymer chain and nano particles create the best coating to the nano particles, and cause high strength and stability of HPF5200.
High selectivity, less influence to co-existing anions.
Max adsorption to fluoride is over 13.0mg/L(Adsorbent), Fluoride concentration is as low as 1 mg/L after treated.
Applied to Defluoridation from groundwater, drinking water, industrial liquids, surface treatment wastewater.
