Working Principle

This kind of switch makes use of the eddy current inside the object when the conductive object approaches the proximity switch which can produce electromagnetic field. For ease of explanation, we can consider the proximity switch as consisting of three parts: an oscillator, a trigger circuit and an output circuit.

Installation Mode of Sensor
1. Embedded Installation
For the sensors installed safely, the induction from the side is prevented by adding a metal ring to the ferrite core. But this shortens the sensing distance.
2. Non-embedded Installation
The coil of the sensor is wound around the ferrite core and emits magnetic field to the direction and side used. The magnetic field emitted by the side determines that the sensor can not be embedded in the metal, so it can also make the sensor work.

Installation Method of Multiple Switches
When two or more sensors of the same type are installed relatively or parallel, the installation distance is too close, which may affect the frequency and cause frequency interference. The minimum distance between the sensor and the sensor is listed in the figure below. It must be installed according to this principle when using. (If the installation environment is limited less than the use of the first spacing installation, we can customize different frequency sensors in our company to avoid mutual interference)
