Product Description
Silicon Calcium alloy is mainly used for steel-making and cast iron production.
The affinity of calcium and silicon with oxygen is very large, and the deoxidation products are easy to float and easy to discharge. So the deoxidizing steel liquid of silicon calcium alloy is pure. When the high quality steel and special alloy are made, the silicon calcium alloy is used as deoxidizer.
Calcium and sulfur form a stable compound CaS in the silicon calcium alloy, while CaS is not dissolved in steel water. Therefore, when the silicon calcium alloy is used for deoxidizer, it has the function of desulfidation.
In cast iron production, silicon calcium is more effective than ferrosilicon in improving the performance of cast iron. Silicon calcium alloy is not only an effective inoculant to promote the formation of spherical graphite, but also plays the role of deoxygenation, desulphurization, denitrification and silicon increasing.
