Silk organza is a sheer, lightweight, crisp fabric with a beautiful sheen. The fabric is woven from lustrous silk yarn which has been given a somewhat more pronounced twist in its manufacture, thereby producing a silken fabric with a distinctive body and moldability. The material is gorgeous when used under or over garments, especially as sleeves or an alluring frontal piece. It is washable and easily pressed, and does not scratch the skin or fray. The open weave is naturally stiff without the addition of any "stiffeners", so great for specific use in wedding garments, dresses, petticoats, costuming, Christmas tress ornaments, lampshade work, interfacing, etc.
