In a fire situation, the Youngen fire hood expands internally to fill all the available space, with a highly fire-resistant insulating char. It stops fire to penetrate the hole and brings additional insulation protection to the ceiling void by reducing the chance of heat build-up and the ignition of flammables, such as accumulated dust and insulation.
This fire hood is low density, high flexibility and good intensity, and can be used on different of ceilings, such as suspended plasterboard or concrete ceilings with wide range of voltage downlights. The fire hood is easy to squeeze into the ceiling from the hole made by downlights and can be installed low or above the ceilings.
