5. Character: It is white or yellow crystalline powder or small crystal, with a strong smell of sulfuric acid, soluble in water. The aqueous solution is acidic. It is higher than 150 degrees Celsius, that is to decompose sulfuric acid.
6. Usage: It is used as preservative, bleaching agent, and swelling agent in food processing.
