Product Description

Alumina-graphite ladle shrouds
ISO-statically pressed carbon bonded alumina-graphite ladle shrouds, with enhanced composition wear bands and argon channels as necessary for the particular casting and cleanliness requirements of a shop are available. Preheat is not required as the shrouds are free of thermal shock characteristics. A variety of gasket designs and materials are also available for easy disconnect between heats.

1. Multiple argon injection designs engineered for customer requirements.
2. Precision steel components for protection of the ceramic body.
3. Enhanced bowl composition for greater protection during lancing.
4. Ceramic glaze coating to prevent external oxidation.
5. Ceramic fiber to prevent heat loss during casting.
6. High quality Al-C materials having high corrosion and thermal shock resistance.
7. High quality composites to provide enhanced corrosion resistance at the slag line.
8. Non-graphite based materials to meet the requirements of producing low carbon steel, silicon steel and high purity steel.
9. Reverse taper and bell designs for the prevention of "blow-back" during submerged openings

Manufacturing Technique

Free preheating ladle shroud is a effective protection channel for steel liquid from ladle to tundish. It has the function of
stability steel liquid , anti oxidation of steel liquid and liquid splash . argon is blowing by seat position to reduce nitration
suction of steel liquid . we made this free preheating ladle shroud has the strong points of no-cracking , steel liquid flashing resistance, and high erosion resistance. We developed special shape nozzle casting under the liquid level in order to avoid splashing and oxidation.
We make different types of ladle shrouds with customised argon sealing and bell designs to ensure complete protection of the steel stream from splashing and oxidation as it flows from the steel ladle to the tundish. As different steel products have different specifications, we have developed more than ten patterns to suit different designs of steel ladle and tundish required by our customers.
For added durability and protection, we apply specialised materials at the seat which has a particularly high potential
for oxidation. A special mixture of materials is put into the liner to prevent gouging. For added measure a mixture of zirconia or magnesia is used for the slagline to protect our ladle shrouds from chemical corrosion caused by tundish powder, ensuring the integrity of the steel flow.
Details:
Depending upon the concasting condition, we provide ladle shrouds of Alumina Graphite or Alumina Zirconia Graphite. The products have the following characteristics.
1) Prebaking unnecessary
With the functional gradient structure, our ladle shrouds are characterized by high thermal shock resistance and can be applied to the con-casting process directly from the ambient temperature, without preheating.
2) Long service life
Specially designed slag line composition for customer casting conditions guarantee our ladle shrouds with the properties of high erosion resistance
