Lithium bromide is a highly efficient water vapor absorbent and air humidity regulator. It is mainly used as a working medium for lithium bromide refrigerators. In addition, it is used as a hydrogen chloride remover in organic chemistry and an organic fiber expansion agent.

 

Properties: The mixed solution of lithium bromide is a light yellow clear liquid, slightly alkaline. It can absorb CO2 in the air and precipitate Li2CO3. When exposed to strong light, it will produce green Cr (OH) 3 precipitation. Anhydrous lithium bromide is white, non-toxic, odorless, salty and bitter, has strong moisture absorption, and can be dissolved in organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol.
