Usage | 1. Moist and soften the chasen with warm water 2. Place 1 Matcha Scoop of matcha into the bowl. For Usucha, thin tea, use 2 Chashaku of Matcha. For Koicha, thick tea, use 3 to 4. 3. Pour in about 80ml hot water (72°C / 162°F) 4. Run and stir the whisk by writing "W" quickly under the matcha and hot water, until there are no clumps and a fine froth developed on the top (about 10-15 seconds) | ||||||
Feature:
1. This chasen is used to whisk the Matcha powder into fine lather and bring out the intrinsic tea flavor. It is crafted into fine bristles from one piece of natural white bamboo by hand. The bamboo is usually 2-2.5cm thick and 9-12cm long, and is made into whisk with different amount of prongs.
