2.D-36 is used as a crosslinker in the manufacturing of 1-part neutral cure silicone sealant and will allow the skilled formulator to develop low modulus sealants with high movement capability. Using D-36 in sealant-formulations will also provide improved tear-resistance and heat-resistance. Another important advantage of using D-36 in silicone sealants is that extended tooling times can be achieved without jeopardizing crack-resistance.
