Nitrendipine is a dihydropyridine-type voltage-sensitive (L-type) calcium channel protein inhibitor and blocker. Nitrendipine modulates NMDA receptor channel function in mammalian neurons. Nitrendipine has been shown to inhibit neutrophil adhesion to vascular endothelium.
