Application of the cnc foam thermocol pattern making router machine for casting:

You may consider the following aspects when need an EPS cnc router:
- Materials. What materials will you process by the machine? Styrofoam,wood,aluminum or others? Different materials need different configurations.
- Machine size. Decide the machine size according to your raw materials sizes or products sizes. Do you want to process a whole product, or process piece by piece?
- Do you need a 3-axis,4-axis or 5-axis machine?
- Spindle. For foam carving,can use 6-9KW or bigger spindle,no matter water cooled or air cooled. For wood and aluminum, it is better to use stronger power motor BT spindles.
- How many tools do you need? If the mold is complicated, can choose auto tool change EPS CNC Router.
- What kinds of worktable do you need? Foam machine can use clamp table, wood and aluminum can choose clamp table,steel table or cast iron table.
- Designing software. Artcam, Powermill,UG,Mastercam, and other CAM softwares can work with the EPS CNC Router machines. 4-axis and 5-axis machines will need post process to generate correct toolpath,can buy or rent the software from supplier.
- Do you need RTCP ((Rotating Tool Center Point) function? For 4-axis, we suggest RTCP if have enough budget, for 5-axis,RTCP is necessary. RTCP advantages: no need to set every bits` compensation when programming, easier,higher precision and save time.
