Description:

Polyether block amide 7433 SA 01 MED resin is a thermoplastic elastomer made of flexible polyether and rigid polyamide.This grade offers the highest quality and it is specially designed to meet the stringent requirements of the medical applications such as minimally invasive devices.

Pebax 7433 SA 01 MED resin also offers an excellent combination of properties such as: kink resistance, low friction coefficient and superior dynamic response.Upon request, letters regarding USP Class VI compliance can be provided.

- Tubings like angiography and angioplasty catheters.
- Flexible injected parts.

This grade is delivered dried in sealed packaging (20 kg bags) ready to be processed.

- Typical melt temperature (Min / Recommended / Max) : 230°C / 260°C / 290°C.
- Typical mold temperature : 25 – 60°C.
- Drying time and temperature (only necessary for bags opened for more than two hours) : 5-7 hours at 70-80°C.
- Typical melt temperature (Min / Recommended / Max) : 220°C / 235°C / 250°C.

Pebax Elastomers - A family of lightweight polymers that offer unmatched energy return and cold temperature durability for dynamic applications.Pebax thermoplastic elastomers consist of polyamide and polyether backbone blocks. These specialty elastomers offer very low material density, a wide range of shore hardness values, extremely efficient energy return (over a wide temperature range) and are optionally biobased.

 

Medical grade Pebax polymers are plasticizer-free thermoplastic elastomers with a wide range of physical and mechanical properties achieved by varying the monomeric block types and ratios.Grades within the product range extend from soft, flexible and elastomeric to those with mechanical properties approaching semi-rigid polyamides.
The remarkable processing ease of medical grade Pebax elastomers make them an excellent choice for extrusion of medical grade tubing or film applications. They are often compounded by our customers for additional lubricity or radiopaque properties.

 

Pebax Elastomers are block copolymers made up of rigid polyamide blocks and soft polyether blocks. Manipulating these blocks and their relative ratio allows for the creation of a large range that spans the flexibility spectrum from very hard and rigid to very soft and flexible, without the need for plasticizers. These unique polymers maintain the highly desirable combination of the toughness traditionally associated with polyamides and the flexibility/elasticity more often seen with polyethers/polyesters.
