DRIED BETEL NUT

The Areca nut also known as Betel nut is the seed of the Areca palm.  Mainly used for chewing, or mixing with pan masala and gutka and also used in the preparation of Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicines. Powdered areca nut is used as a constituent in some tooth powders.

The quality of the Areca nuts is determined by a number of good cuts. The grades of good cuts we supply are 65/35, 70/30, 80/20

Betel nuts are traditionally wrapped in leaves with a limestone paste and chewed, much like tobacco and these nuts are also used in a similar manner as caffeine. They have a pungent, bitter, spicy, sweet, salty, and astringent taste. The nut is a mild stimulant, which causes a sense of alertness, and is used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.
