Crucible Tongs
Material: carbon steel,chrome round steel, stainless steel
Size:8’’ (20cm),10’’(25cm),12’’(30cm),14’’(35cm),16‘’(40cm),18’’(45cm),20’’(50cm)
Usage: for holding the crucible for heating or placing it in a heat source (gas lamp, electric furnace, crucible tongs, muffle
lamp, alcohol lamp) to heat the crucible, hold crucible or crucible cover for heating.
Use method and precautions:
1. Use clean crucible tongs when using.
2. When using a crucible tongs to pick up a hot crucible, the tongs must be preheated first to prevent the crucible from
rupturing due to local cooling. After use, the tongs should be placed on the desktop or asbestos net.
3. After the experiment is finished, the pliers should be wiped clean, put into the experiment cabinet, and kept dry.
4. Use crooked parts to hold crucibles, use pointed tips for other purposes.
