This GU24 Pull Chain Lamp Holder and LED Lamp should only be used with electrical wiring that is in good working order and that meets all applicable codes and ordinances. WARNING - ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD: MAKE SURE THE POWER IS “OFF” AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE PROCEEDING. CAUTION: “MUST USE A MINIMUM OF 90ºC, 14-12 AWG SUPPLY CONDUCTORS”. This GU24 LED Pull Chain Lamp Holder should only be used with copper or insulated copper wire. If this device will be used with aluminum wire, use only devices marked with CO/ALR. 1. Use care to ensure that you do not chip or break the Lamp Holder. If the Lamp Holder will be mounted on a 3-1/4” (8.3 cm) round outlet box, break the knockout holes on the Lamp Holder’s mounting base with a small punch or Phillips Screwdriver. This is not necessary if mounting on a 4” (10 cm) outlet box. 2. Strip the insulation from the incoming “Black” supply line wire to expose approximately 1/2” of bare copper. Follow the same procedure for the incoming “White” supply line wire. 3. Connect the “Black” supply line wire directly to the Lamp Holder‘s Black wire. Then connect the “White” supply line wire directly to the White Lamp Holder wire. CAUTION: TERMINATION OF THE BLACK AND WHITE SUPPLY LINE WIRES TO THE GU24 LED Pull Chain LAMP HOLDER IS CRITICAL TO MAINTAIN THE CORRECT POLARITY. 4. Insert the two (2) mounting screws through the appropriate knockout holes on the Lamp Holder and attach the Lamp Holder to the junction box. 5. Insert the 9-watt LED lamp into the two (2) bi-pin holes on the Lamp Holder base and rotate it clockwise. 6. Attach the Diffuser to the Lamp Holder by inserting the two (2) tangs on the Diffuser into the slots located on the outside edge of the Lamp Holder and rotate it clockwise. 7. Restore power to the circuit breaker.
