Usage and Characteristics:
Optical fiber joint box is used forprotecting the optical fiber fusion splicing head between two different optical cabers; a reserved section of optical fiber will be kept in the box for maintenance purpose.
It has some excellent performances such as good sealing property, waterproof, moisture-resistant and incorrodible after being installed on the electric power line.
In according to environmental conditions, Optical fiber joint box is divided into Joint-box for pole and Joint box for tower;in according to the different shell material,it is divided into plastic Joint box and Metal Joint box.
1) Plastic Joint box is used for ADSS Cable
2) Compare with Plastic Joint box,Metal Joint box has many obvious advantages as mechanical strength,leak tightness and corrosion resistance. It’s usually used for OPGW .
