I.             Indications:

The product consists of a plastic bottle in half divided into two parts in order to have access to the inside. Internally the container has claw (reservoir) of waste to be removed can be transferred to a larger container for pathological analysis.

Externally the bottle has two extensions where one of them fits the bulb and the other tube connection (connector) and cylindrical tip. Their system prevents locking of leakage and consequent contamination.

II.           Procedure of use

The Ellick evacuator is connected by a tube connecting with the resectoscope shirt and a rubber bulb. It is filled submerged it in irrigating solution and compressing the bulb repeatedly until the container and bulb are completely filled with the irrigating solution and the air is evacuated. It is then bonded to the jacket resectoscope by removing the endoscope with the working element. The bulb is squeezed to push the irrigation fluid into the bladder and the fragments are sucked out while the bulb is released slowly.

III.          CONTRAINDICATIONS: These devices are intended for single-use only as indicated. Procedures should be performed by physicians having adequate training and familiarity with these procedures.

1)     It is contraindicated during surgery if there bladder perforation. If the evacuator Ellick be used in this situation, there may be increased diameter (s) location (s) perforated (s). Depending on the site may be perforated liquid inlet (urine, saline, sorbitol, mannitol, distilled water) into the peritoneal cavity, which can cause the patient to be subjected to laparotomy.

2)     If the bladder is too full, upon introduction of pressure fluid evacuator Ellick, there is a possibility of rupture of the bladder.
