Details

Mixed lead

Mixed lead contains assorted clean lead solids and may include soft or hard lead materials. It should be free of wheel weights, drosses, battery plates and type alloys.

Battery Plates

Battery plates are comprised of clean sorted lead / lead oxide battery plates. These may not contain foreign materials, such as plastic, or glass.

Battery Lugs

Battery Lugs contain solid lead recovered from spent batteries or battery production. It should be free of oxide material and may not contain foreign materials, such as plastic or glass.

Lead Wheel Weights

It includes lead wheel balancing weights and may contain steel clips.

Mixed Common Babitt

Mixed common babitts are comprised of lead bearings with a minimum tin content of 8 %.

Lead Solder Scrap

A typical common solder comprises of 60% tin and 40% lead.

Lead Free Solder Scrap

Lead free solder scrap is a tin based scrap that typically contains 3-4 % silver and up to 1% copper.

Lead Covered Copper Cable

It includes soft lead covered insulated or uninsulated copper wire. It should be uniform cable suitable for cable stripping operations.

Lead Covered Copper Cable

It consists of soft lead covered insulated or uninsulated copper wire joints. The joints can be of varying sizes and lengths.

Linotype

It consists of clean lead based line type. It should be free of dross.

Type Dross

It consists of the dross, skimmings or spillings from Linotype melting.

Mono Type

It consists of clean lead based solid mono or block type and may include, letter, logo or graphic type blocks. It may not include laminated engravings.

Lead Dross

It consists of slag, dross, skimmings or spillings from lead meting operations.

Antimony Content Scrap

It consists of clean solid antimony alloys.

Other Lead

It includes other miscellaneous lead materials, which are not included or listed in other grades.
