Properties: white or almost white crystalline powder, soluble in hot water; slightly soluble in cold water, light sensitive. After drying at 110 ℃, it melts at about 200 ℃ and decomposes slightly. It is not precipitated by iodine test solution and potassium iodide test solution, but it can produce precipitate in case of trinitrophenol. At pH 2, the maximum absorption wavelength is 260.5nm (ε 13200), the minimum absorption wavelength is 229nm, and the absorbance ratio A250 / a260 = 0.76, A280 / a260 = 0.38
