1.Question:I’d like to connect 2 sunpower 100w flexible panels to a inergy generator and mount them on the roof of my van. what do i need for cables/ conn?
Answer:Dear Customer， Would you please confirm the voltage for the battery of the generator. We strongly suggest that each panel should be used with 1 separate 12V 10A controller. We do not suggest the panels are connected in parallel. Regarding the cables, it just depends on the distance from solar panel to the battery. The flexible solar panels are with 0.9meter long cables with MC4 connectors and both positive and negative polarity cables.
2.Question:Can I connect multiple strings (each of 4 panels) in parallel?
Answer:No, you had better use separate controllers to control each string.
3.Question:Do I need a in line fuse between the panel and the controller and what size fuse?
Answer:You may not use fuse if you have controller.
4.Question:How many units are needed to power ac + microwave and computer & monitor?
Answer:You have to figure out your total amperage or wattage and you also need to run the correct size controller.
5.Question:How can it be used to charge a car battery?
Answer:Our flexible solar panel is 100watt 18Volt and it is just suitable to charge the 12V car battery. You also need a charge controller to protect both the battery and solar panel. The solar panel has around 3 feet long cables(positive and negative cables). If you think the cables are not long enough,then you can connect your own cables(which should be suitable to the controller, normally 2.5 square mm.
