From the storage hopper, raw material is fed into the drum, and lifted up by the rotation, in the meantime washed by the flushed water as it falls back down. The action is repeated with each revolution along the wall of drum screen. The finer ore passes through the screen while the bigger ore tumbles towards the eventual exit at the backside of the drum.The finer size mineral ore is then passed to the downstream process equipment, which can be in various forms, such as centrifugal concentrator, spiral chutes, jig machine etc.
