Ceramic foam Filter is developed as a new type molten metal filter can absorb and filter foreign matter to decrease casting flaw. It has widely applicable scope and distinctly improves mechanical function of casting. Ceramic foam filters have the characters of light weight, high mechanical strength, large specific surface areas, high porosity, excellent thermal shock resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and high temperature stability in molten metal. with unique pores net structure, they can effectively eliminate inclusions, reduces the content of gas and poisonous element in the metal liquid, make the liquid metal becomes more pure, manufacturing high quality castings.
We are one of largest supplier for refractory in China. We can provide complete precision casting refractory solutions. Ceramic foam filter can be used in casting purifying, gas-solid mixture separation and liquid-solid mixture separation, and can also works as catalyst support, burner and silencer materials.
1. Decontaminate the melting metal liquid.
2. Simplified gating system.
3. Improve the metallurgical structure of the castings.
4. Reduce impurities of the castings.
5. Improve casting quality rate.
6. Reduce casting internal re-oxidation defects.
7. Reduce the surface defects after machining of the castings.
We have developed four kinds of ceramic foam filters: alumina foam ceramic filter, silicon carbide foam ceramic filter, zirconia foam ceramic filter and magnesia foam ceramic filter.
Al2O3Based Ceramic Foam Filter
It is applied to purge and filter solution of molten aluminium and aluminium alloys and other non ferrous casting.
SiC Ceramic Foam Filter
It is applied to purge and filter solution of ductile iron casting, grey iron and other iron casting.
ZrO2Ceramic Foam Filter
It is applied to purge and filter solution of steel high temperature metal such as steel alloy stainless steel etc.
MgO Ceramic Foam Filter
It is applied to purge and filter solution of magnesium and magnesium alloy.
