Tetramethrin 95%TC

 

the second generation of synthetic pyrethroids, is a contact insecticide with a rapid knockdown action on flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, wasps and other insect pests in public, home and garden primarily for indoor pest control uses. Tetramethrin is a mixture of four stereoisomers. But commercially effective Tetramethrin is a mixture of two isomers that have the highest insecticidal activity of a cis- to trans- ratio 15~25 : 75~85. It is formulated as an aerosol, an emulsifiable concentrate, and in mosquito coil in combination with other insecticides and synergist

2.Application

Mode of action:

Non-systemic insecticide with contact action. Gives rapid knockdown.

Uses:

Tetrathrin can quickly knock down mosquitoes ,flies and other flying insects and can repel cockroach well. it can drive out cockroach living in dark lift so as to increase the opportunity that cockroach contact insecticide, However, the lethal effect of this product is not strong, Therefore it is often mixed uses with permethrin with strong lethal effect to aerosol, spray, which are especially suitable for insects prevention for family, public hygiene, food and warehouse.

 

 

3.Storage & Handing

 

l Store in closed drum in a cool, dry and Ventilate well place.

l Store in well-closed containers at a temperature less than 40C, preferably between 15-30C.

l Avoid direct physical contact.

l Use appropriate, approved safety equipment.

l Untrained individuals should not handle this chemical or its container.

l Handling should occur in a chemical fume hood.

Notes:

 

1. Tetramethrin can not be used on agricultural crops.( EPA )Some tetramethrin products may only be used by pest control operators, but most are available for general residential use.

 

2. Tetramethrin should not be applied directly to or near water, due to its high toxicity to aquatic species.

 

3. Household users should also take care not to use tetramethrin on home grown food, or near other foods. If tetramethrin is used on pets, limit contact with children for a reasonable amount of time.Be aware of other active chemical ingredients.

 

4. Tetramethrin is commonly combined with other pesticide agents to prolong effectiveness or to target a wider range of insects.
