 Zinc Stearate

1. Introduction Zinc stearate  [CH3(CH2)16COO]2Zn 2. Characters Zinc stearate is white powder,greasy to touch without sand sense,fatty odor,innoxiously,flammable,insoluble in water,solve in hot ethanol,benzol etc.slowly decomposes into stearic acid and zinc salts when reacting with strong acid.       3. Applications     Zinc stearate can be applied in the manufacturing of  PVC innoxious products,and its performance will be better if use with calcium stearate and darium stearate,can improve the light stability of PVC products.Its dosage in the PVC usually not more than 1%.While applying in rubber products,PF,PE,PS and EPS polymer additives even the manufacturing of pencil core,dosage:usually 1%-3%. 4.Specification   Test items Specification Appearance  (white and fine powder) Assay of Zn 10.3%~11.3% Free acid ≤1% Loss on drying ≤1.0% Melting point 120±5°C Particle size 99.5% 325(≥99.5% through 325 mesh)
