DMT Enzyme

 

DMT can cut the sequence G^mATC (G is methylated) and can not cut the sequence GATC (G is not methylated). This enzyme can cut DNA prepared from the most commonly used E. coli strains (dam⁺ strain), but can not cut PCR products.
