Application and Synthesis of TMQ
TMQ is particular excellent general-purpose ammonia anti-ageing agent. TMQ is widely used in natural rubber and synthetic rubber such as nitrile, styrene-butadiene, ethylene-propylene and chloroprene, cis-butadiene and isoprene rubber.
TMQ is synthesized from aniline and acetone as raw materials, with acid as catalyst, through condensation and polymerization at a temperature of 90-140 °C. There are one-step method and two-step method.
