Alexidine dihydrochloride is a biocide based on biguanide structure. It is supplied usually as a solid or crystalline solid. Alexidine dihydrochloride is soluble in organic solvents as ethanol, DMSO and methanol. Alexidine hydrochloride is sparingly soluble in water or aqueous buffers.
