Types of formulation: Somguard^® AgNP is available as a liquid formulation.

Dose and Application:

Dose: 250 ppm: 1 ml / L water 

Post-harvest disinfection:

• Vegetables/ Fruits / Produce can be dipped in Somguard^® AgNP solution for 10 minutes and then rinsed with water.

• Harvesting crates can be sprayed or swabbed with Somguard^® AgNP solution

Packaging material disinfection: 

Spray interiors of pack houses, packing trays and containers. The trays have to be either swabbed or dipped in Somguard^® AgNP solution. Use mist sprayer for disinfection

Warehouse and container fumigation:

• Warehouses and containers are breeding grounds for infectious diseases.

• Spray at a higher dose @ 20 ml / L water with a fumigator to disinfect all surfaces.

Tunnel disinfection: 

Somguard^® AgNP can be used for tunnel disinfection by misting through nozzles fit in the tunnel

Note:

• Do not store Somguard^® AgNP solution for more than 24 hours after mixing in water.

Compatibility:

Compatible with all chemicals. Somguard^® AgNP should not be used along with microbial products as it is a biocide and will kill/inactivate the active beneficial microbes.

Yes. You can spray anytime.

Does this product come under CIB / Insecticides Act/ Pesticides regulatory?
Somguard^® AgNP is not in Schedule of Insecticides Act. We term Somguard^® AgNP as Disinfectant. Somguard^® AgNP does not come under Pesticides regulatory.

How is Somguard^® AgNP unique when compared with products in market?
Yes, Somguard^® AgNP is quite unique in comparison to other Silver based products in the market. The ‘market products ‘are formulated with Hydrogen Peroxide which is hazardous and carcinogenic.

Somguard^® AgNP has 250 ppm of Silver Water is carrier. Therefore, it is not toxic. Chitosan may cause vomiting - and no other health hazard if consumed accidentally. Treat symptomatically

How long will the nano silver particles which kill the pathogens stay in the applied area?
Somguard^® AgNP is a Universal Disinfectant. 250 ppm spray is just 0.025 grams per L This means not even traces can be found in residues

Is there any certification available to claim it is a natural product?
Silver is a natural product. No certifications are available. However internal assay is done to determine the content which is available as a Certificate of analysis.
