Cassava
Cassava is grown in Vietnam with the harvest area accounting for 75, 54% of the total national cassava area. * Green body, slightly curved, purple tip, not branched. * Harvest time: 9-11months 7,6-9,5 tons/ ha
Cassava is about 2 - 3m high, the leaves are lobed into many lobes, horizontal roots develop into tubers and accumulate starch, the growth time is about 6 to 12 months


Planting area
In the North of Vietnam, about 68% of the land is hilly land for cassava. Cassava is grown mainly in midland and mountainous areas. About 89% of cassava in the North of Vietnam is grown on the aforementioned soils.
In the south of Vietnam, most of the cassava is grown on sandy soils in the Central Coast and South East regions . Cassava growing regions in the Central Highlands provinces have similar topography.
