The company was incorporated in 1991 under the guidance of Late Mr S. V. Arbatti, our Founder Chairman. an eminent personality with a valuable contribution in the Alcohol sector had played a key role in setting up the first distillery project at India Security Press, Nashik, Maharashtra in 1949. In 1982, he established the 'Alcohol Technologist' curriculum at Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI, Manjri, Pune). As a Consultant, he had to his account for the credit of setting up several distillery projects in India & abroad. He introduced the 'Continuous Fermentation Technology' in India in association with Vogel Busch & Alfa Laval. He was also appointed as a Member of, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Govt. of Maharashtra. A recipient of several awards, he was awarded Life Time Achievement Award from Deccan Sugar Technologists Association of India for his valuable contribution to the Sugar & Alcohol Industry

With the commencement of commercial operations in 1997 & having crossed several milestones, SCAL is in operation for the last 24 years.

With an 80 KLPD capacity State - of - Art Manufacturing facility at Sanaswadi, Pune (30 km from Pune on the Pune Ahmednagar Road) SCAL manufacturers various Ethanol grades for further supplies Pharmaceutical, Perfume, Chemical, Research, Educational institutions & other Industrial sectors.

The manufacturing facility has a State - of - Art QC lab with the latest testing/analysis equipment Upgraded R&D lab with the latest Gas Chromatography & UV Specter Photo Meter testing equipment & in house logistics arrangement comprising of a fleet of tankers for assured & timely deliveries to our esteemed clients.
