Sumilon lacquered Films are used for producing a wide range of metallic yarn which further goes in weaving knitting embroidery threads; those films have excellent productivity during micro slitting as we deliver pinhole free metallizing.

Lacquer coated PET films are made using Metallised Polyester Film and are coated with a superior quality lacquer that can be used to manufacture metallic yarn, glitter powder and is used in the printing, packaging and decoration industries.

Sumilon is equipped with manufacturing these coated films in a variety of colours and a range of thicknesses to choose from. Our colour coated films are highly appreciated in the industry for the range of shades offered and its varied applicability.

SUCOAT™ - C1MP is One Side Lacquer Coated polyester film & metallise on coated surface, and other side untreated or corona treated surface. These films are available in a variety of colours and thickness, which makes them suitable for wide range of requirements.

Sumilon group was established in the year 1977/1978 and has emerged to become a formidable contender in the Metallic yarn industry in India.

Sumilon is the only company in the world that contains all the facilities for metallic yarn production under a single roof, starting with BOPET Film (Biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate), Resins, and Dyes, to ABS Bobbins and Cones. Acquiring a market share of approximately 35% of total sales in India, and an export sale of 300MT/Month, Sumilon is an industrial forerunner that has a worldwide appreciation for its excellent quality observed throughout its innovative range of products.

Gandhidham is the location of our BOPET plant, where we manufacture our polyester film that is known for its distinct properties such as uniform thickness, high clarity, glossy appearance, and superior strength.

Our existing capacity of 700MT/Month has been increased to 3000MT/Month after installation and commissioning of a brand new 8.9meter width BOPET manufacturing line of DORNIER from GERMANY. We have been successfully running 10,12, 23, 36, and 50micron film and we are equipped to produce between 8micron to150micron using our new line. We are honored to share that we have successfully perfected the process to enhance thermal stability along with tensile properties to produce exceptional quality packaging / Yarn grade film in various micron sizes. A fairly accurate and uniform gauge profile and other associated characteristics of the premium film have already been achieved.

We have world-class metallizers from Ulvac (Japan) and General Vacuum (UK) for metallizing BOPET film with thickness ranging from 10-150micron and a maximum width up to 2850mm.

It can be split into different sizes as per the customer’s requirements. Our Metallizers are equipped with a plasma treatment facility with high barrier properties through pinhole-free metallizing and uniform optical density.
