The Widex Unique line is Widex’s newest release, available as CIC, ITE, BTE, and RIC devices. New features include improved analog-to-digital (A/D) converters to deliver better sounds, a sound classifier for intelligent listening, and the Wind Noise Attenuation system that dramatically helps you listen in windy conditions.

The Widex Unique hearing aids contain four A/D converters that capture a wide range of sounds and deliver them without distortion. The extreme highs and the soft lows are captured, so that users can benefit from a 108 dB dynamic range and hear it all.

The Unique line utilizes Sound Class Technology, a processing system, to adapt to changing sound environments without compromising your quality of hearing. Unique hearing aids are programmed with a universal listening program that classifies sound environments into nine distinct categories. Thus, sound processing is optimized for each type of listening environment, according to their distinct characteristics. This maximizes the degree to which you can understand speech in different environments.

The Unique hearing aids offer the feature of wireless communication through the use of the COM-DEX, a pendant you can wear around your neck to pair the hearing aids to your phone. Wireless connectivity will enable you to stream audio directly to the hearing aids, and change settings and volumes straight from your smartphone. This removes the need for having an extra remote control device to adjust volumes or settings, since it can be done with your smartphone instead. With the possibility of wireless communication, the Unique line can also connect to your TV and computer to stream content directly to the hearing aids.
