Calcium Stearate Properties:

 

white minute powder, easy to absorb moist, soapy feeling, combustive, innocuous, specific gravity 1.08g/cm3 , melting point:145°C--155°C,insoluble in water, soluble in hot organic solvent and acid. It will decompose with strong acid into stearic acid and calcium salt.

Usage:

It is mainly used as lubricant, stabilizer, mold release agent, accelerator and cosmetic base material, etc in food, medicine, cosmetics, plastic and rubber industries, etc. It can improve the speed of coagulation for hard plasic products. It can effectively impove the stability for non-toxic soft film used in food packing and medical apparatus, etc. It can be used as stabilizer and lubricant in PE and PVC. It can be used as halogen adsorbent in Pe and to eliminate the bad effect of resin color and stability due to the catalyst remain. Besides, it widely used to imporve palstic's thermostability and better dyeability and gas permeability In future, it may replace toxic stabilizer with the same function.

1,Used as non-toxic stabilizer, lubricant, release agent of PVC plastic and waterproofing agent of textile.
2,Used as lubricant for coated paper and paint.
3,Used as anti-caking agent; binder; emulsifier; lubricant; film release agent; stabilizer; thickener; fragrance enhancer.
