The lifeboat from the RMS Titanic stands as a solemn reminder of one of the most tragic maritime disasters in modern history. Lifeboat 7, a starboard wooden vessel, was the first to be lowered from the sinking Titanic. Despite having a capacity of 65 people, it departed with only 28 individuals on board, leaving 37 seats vacant. Many women and children hesitated to board the small wooden lifeboat, preferring to remain on the massive 'unsinkable' but ill-fated Titanic. Crafted meticulously by hand, this 15-feet long replica of the Titanic lifeboat showcases the artistry of clinker built construction. The overlapping hull planks not only reinforce its structure but also lend it a striking aesthetic appeal. We have employed the finest materials, including western red cedar, yellow cedar, and mahogany, to ensure its exceptional quality. Elaborate details adorn this replica, such as wooden paddles, footings, thwarts, braces, ropes, flotation devices, rudder, tiller, lifelines, and more. The stern and front bow proudly bear the White Star Line flag and the iconic SS Titanic painting.

History
Lifeboat 7 was a wooden starboard lifeboat and the first one to be lowered from the sinking Titanic. Although there was a capacity of 65 people, it left with only 28 people on board, thus with 37 empty seats. The reason why was that many women and children were reluctant to enter a small wooden lifeboat and preferred to stay on the massive ’unsinkable’, but sinking, Titanic. Quartermaster Rowe saw the boat in the water from the aft bridge. He was still on duty like nothing happened and was forgotten by his colleagues. But when he spotted the lifeboat, he rang the bridge to ask them if they knew that a lifeboat was launched at starboard side. Next thing he knew he was on the bridge with a box full of pyrotechnic distress fireworks, and the first one was shot at 12:47 A.M

As a new venture of Old Modern Handicrafts, full size and functional wooden kayaks, canoes have been highly appraised by many customers. These boats are made of western red cedar which is imported from Canada and topped with US made fiber glass. The quality is striking and just in 2005, we have exported containers of kayaks and canoes to USA, Canada and Europe.
Our goal doesn't stop there, we are seeking partnerships and business consultants to build the big boats.
