Company Profile
Uralkali produces two types of muriate of potash (MOP): pink and white.
Pink MOP can be standard and granular:
Pink Standard MOP is used for producing compound NPK fertilisers and as a direct-application fertiliser.
Pink Granular MOP is used as a direct-application fertiliser and as a component of blended fertilisers.
White MOP can be in powder or pelletized:
White MOP is a high-purity product and is used as a component of compound NPK fertilisers, including water-soluble fertiliser, for producing potassium sulphate (SOP), potassium nitrate (NOP), potassium hydroxide (KOH), and for other industrial purposes.
Pelletized potash is specifically developed for foreign manufacturers of potassium hydroxide. Due to the large transit distances, this cannot be offered as standard white MOP without anticaking treatment.
Uralkali also produces carnallite and sodium chloride.
MOP produced by Uralkali has environmental and agronomic approval and is a registered agrochemical permitted for application in the Russian Federation (state registration number 338-10-876-1).
Potash (feed supplement) is a registered feed supplement (registration No. ПВР-2-42.19/03514) used for the production of premixes and compound feeds for broiler chickens, laying hens and pets in order to make up for potassium deficiencies.

Rolling Stock
- Railway transportation is an instrumental element of the Company’s production and sales chain to ensure uninterrupted supplies. The Company relies on the railway system to deliver its products to the ports of Saint Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Astrakhan, port Kavkaz, Kaliningrad, Ust-Luga, Mykolaiv (Ukraine) and Reni (Ukraine), which forward the goods to other countries by sea. Uralkali also supplies its products directly to consumers in Russia, Northern China, Europe and CIS countries by rail.
- Uralkali has a fleet of 7,700 specialised mineral railcars, one of the largest in Russia. The Company also uses the rolling stock of major Russian operators to secure its product supplies in high season.
