Vat Dyes

Vat Dyes come under chemical dye class that is applied to cellulosic fiber. As chemically complex dyes, these are insoluble in water and need to be reduced to leuco form in sodium hydrosulfite alkaline solution before applying it to cotton/rayon fiber. Here, air oxidation fixes vat dye strongly on fiber that result in superior light and wash-fastness. With usage possibilities including for dyeing of cotton, wool as well as other fibers, these textile vat dyes also color fast. 

Indigo Sol Vat Dyes

Indigo Sol Vat Dyes are the complex derivatives of anthraquinone and feature superior fastness properties when these are applied to cellulosic textiles. Made available in powder form, it is preferred to be used in batch dyeing method where these provide fine dispersion characteristics as well as fast rates of reduction.
