Reports have it that just a few hundred bottles of this very desirable Blue Label are being released in Australia. Handsomely packaged, the design celebrates 200 years of whiskey craft and employs some of the rarest whiskies in the Walker reserves. Each whiskey is hand selected from the eight legendary distilleries that all existed when John Walker made the first steps on his journey. Bottled at a slightly higher 43.8% ABV and in a 750ml format, it promises a rare treat for serious Johnnie Walker collectors.

Johnnie Walker is arguably the most popular and recognizable blended Scotch on the market. Its core range includes the standard Red Label and Black Label, introduced in 1909 and named, quite simply, after their packaging. The iconic “striding man” motif was first drawn by Tom Browne the year prior. The premium Blue Label brand was introduced in 1992, and is composed using malt whiskey from some of the most sought after distilleries in Diageo’s extensive portfolio. Today, many of these distilleries are only still with us due to their importance to the Johnnie Walker blends during the difficult 1980s period for the industry.
