Kamameshi Base (amino acid-free)
Just add it when cooking steamed rice to create kamameshi rice like you would enjoy in a Japanese restaurant. This simple and elegant kamameshi base is flavored with soy sauce, sake, and kombu dashi broth. We use plenty of kombu dashi, our forte as a kombu dealer, and it has a flavor that is simple yet savory. We received advice from chefs at traditional Japanese restaurants to reproduce that restaurant flavor. Now you can enjoy restaurant flavor at home with ease. Although we do not use any amino acid-based flavorings or additives, the savoriness of the kombu dashi broth stands out. Our sansho pepper kamameshi base is made with Asakura sansho pepper grown in Tamba. Asakura sansho peppercorns are large, soft, and aromatic. It contains carrots and shiitake mushrooms as well, and it has a vivid color too. Our hijiki rice base is made with hijiki seaweed from Ise, and we add carrot for color. Our scallop kamameshi base is a masterpiece that combines the savory flavor of kombu dashi with scallops to boost the savoriness even more. Our ginger kamameshi and shiitake mushroom kamameshi bases are extremely simple, with only a single ingredient. These products can be enjoyed simply as-is, or combined with your favorite ingredients, giving you a wide range of freedom. All products are intended for cooking 300g of rice.
