Product Description
The carbon brush is a sliding contact used to conduct current on the commutator or collector ring of the motor.
There are mainly graphite brushes and wire-shaped spring brushes. There are three main types of graphite brushes, namely electrochemical graphite brushes, graphite brushes and metal graphite brushes. Electrochemical graphite brushes have a high resistivity and are suitable for high-speed motors with difficulty in commutation; graphite brushes are suitable for general-speed motors, and those with a resistivity above 80Ω·㎜2/m are suitable for speed-regulated motors with difficulty in commutation. ;Silver graphite brushes have small resistivity and poor wear resistance, and are suitable for motors with low speeds.

The correct selection of brushes is very important for motors. The main factors are the peripheral speed of the foundation, current density, unit pressure applied to the brushes and the surrounding medium.
The motor’s requirements for brushes are:
1) On the surface of the commutator or collector ring, a suitable surface film composed of cuprous oxide, test ink and moisture can be formed.
2) The brush has a long service life and little wear on the commutator or collector ring.
3) The brush has good conductivity and strong overload capability.
4) The electric power loss and mechanical loss of the brush are small.
5) No sparks that are harmful to the motor will appear under the brush.
6) The brush operation makes little noise.

Xinghe County Muzi Carbon Co., Ltd. is a professional manufacturer of graphite electrode, with net assets of RMB 160 million, 270 staff members and 30 professional technicians. The annual turnover is around RMB 70 million. In the year 2002, we were registered as a qualified enterprise of import-export operation. Our company currently has a comparatively complete production line of graphite electrode. We hold one of 500-ton Vertical Type Hydraulic press, two of 315-ton Vertical Type Extrusion and 315-ton Molding Machines, six of 500-cube liter Mixed Pinch Pots, 10 of Down Draught Kilns, 19 of various of C-630 and C-620 lathes, and four of milling, extrusion, baking and machining workshops.
Our main products include Native Graphite Electrode, Artificial Graphite Electrode (including RP and HP Graphite Electrode, Special Processed Graphite Electrode, Hollow Graphite Rod, Impregnated Graphite Electrode with pitch, resin or wax), Special Shaped Graphite product and Thin Fabric Graphite Anode Plate. These products are mainly used in metallurgy and petrochemical industries.
In addition, our company has been building a new factory on the basis of the old one from the year 2007. We have built milling, extruding, baking and impregnating workshops, and purchased 2 new Hydraulic Presses (800-ton two sides Hydraulic Press used for High Pure graphite products and 800-ton Vertical Type Hydraulic Press used for various graphite electrodes). The baking and impregnating workshops have been put into operation since the end of 2007. 800-ton Two Sides Hydraulic Press and 800-ton Vertical Type Hydraulic Press were put into production in October, 2008. Our company is carrying out the second technical improvement, and building a new Round Down Draught Kiln, two Pit Baking Kilns and a new Graphitization, Machining and Finery workshop.
