There are three main varieties of frankincense essential oil available in the market today: Frankincense Serrata. Frankincense Carterii. Frankincense Sacra.All varieties of Frankincense Essential Oil share similar properties and therapeutic functions, but the difference is in the growing conditions and the regions they come from.
Our Frankincense Carteri essential oil is steam distilled from a Middle Eastern or African tree's gum resin. It has been used for thousands of years as a spiritual incense, folk medicine, and in cosmetics Frankincense, sometimes referred to as olibanum, is a common type of essential oil used in aromatherapy.

Whereas essential oils are produced by distillation, boiling or pressing, absolutes are produced through solvent extraction, or more traditionally, through enfleurage. Used in perfumery and aromatherapy.

We do purchase in very large quantity of raw materials so that we can provide the best rates with the best quality.

No, both our pure and natural essential oils and our certified organic essential oils are never diluted or watered down in any way. We do offer a variety of essential oil blends, some of which are combined with carrier oils such as jojoba, but these blends are manufactured specifically as blends and are clearly labeled as such to avoid any confusion.
Do essential oils have a grading system to tell me which is better?
There is no official grading system that grades essential oils as A, B, C or Therapeutic grade. All NOW pure essential oils are accurately labeled as such and are the highest purity and quality available.
Are NOW essential oils cruelty free?
Yes. Our essential oils are vegan and we do not do any animal testing on any of our products.
Can I use essential oils in my house without a diffuser?
You can! There are great ways to use oils without a diffuser.
