Seeds
Inside the pods are the carob seeds, known as "carats" because they were used in the past as a measure for gold. They are very hard, round, and flattened, and are used to produce carob seed flour, which has binding, thickening, and gelling properties, making it ideal for the food industry.

Pulp
In the dried and crushed carob pods, whether medium/coarse or fine, there are minerals such as potassium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, selenium, and iron. They also contain B-group vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12), vitamin C, vitamin E, K, and J; with a caloric yield of 250 calories per 100 grams.
Flour
CARRUMED is a plant-based dietary supplement obtained from the drying, roasting, and micronization of carobs. It provides an optimal supply of pectins, tannins, sugars, and lignin. Its administration has a beneficial effect on microorganisms.

Sicil Carobs operates in the zootechnical sector, dealing mainly with the processing and transformation of whole carobs and subsequent sale.
Storage.
Carobs reach our company by company vehicles. After weighing operations, they undergo quality control; if they meet acceptable commercial parameters, they are unloaded into the storage facility suitable for storage.
First production cycle
The first production cycle begins with the crushing of whole carobs, obtaining:
- Medium/large crushed carobs
- Thin crushed carobs
- Carob seeds
Marketing.
All products, depending on the customer's request, can be supplied in bulk, sacks or bags. Finally, the crushed pulp is partially sold for zootechnical use; the other part is reused for the second production cycle, while the seeds are sold to industries producing carob seed flour.
Second production cycle
The second production cycle begins with dehydration and roasting of the carob pulp, obtaining medium/large crushed carobs and thin crushed carobs. It is then micronized and packed in sacks or bags.
Commercialization.
Finally, the flour obtained takes the commercial name CARRUMED and is intended for all animal feed factories.
